- How do I get started with my first sourdough?
- Open the app and choose 'Start a starter.' The app will walk you through a 5–7 day process. We also recommend reading 'A Starter from Scratch with No Tricks' in the journal.
- What makes SourdoughAI different from other baking apps?
- We adapt to your specific environment — temperature, humidity, flour, starter strength. Recipes generally assume idealized conditions; we don't.
- Is the app suitable for beginners?
- Yes. The app is designed to scale from absolute beginners to experienced bakers. Beginners get more detailed guidance; experienced bakers can skip ahead to the timing and recipe tools.
- Does the app cost money?
- The app is free. Optional in-app purchases unlock advanced recipes, longer bake history, and additional flour databases.
- How accurate is the AI timing prediction?
- After 5–10 logged bakes, our timing predictions are typically within 15 minutes for bulk fermentation. Accuracy improves the more you use the app.
- Can I use the app offline?
- Yes. Core features work offline; the app syncs when reconnected.
